Consultation on a Strategy for 21st Century Health & Well-Being in North East England

Consultation paper launched by the RDPH, Dr Stephen Singleton, on the 4 October 2007. The strategy which will be produced as a result of the consultation aims to be the missing piece of the jigsaw in improving health and well-being, linking national, regional and local policies and filling the gap that currently lies between them.

The paper highlights that achieving health and well-being is a greater and broader task than the activity of the NHS. Therefore feedback is sought from all sectors. The consultation runs from 4 October to the 31 December with a definitive Regional Health and Well-Being Strategy intended for publication in early 2008.
