Data from NHS England continues to show very low rates of breastfeeding in Tees Valley, with small increases in four areas and a small decrease in one area for initiation. Data quality problems limit accuracy of local authority data at 6-8 weeks, but CCG data shows about 25% of babies in Teesside are breastfed at 6-8 weeks compared with 45% in England.
