The Campaign to End Child Poverty has produced a new report Poverty In Your Area which shows Middlesbrough has the 3rd highest rate of child poverty of all local authorities in the UK, and Hartlepool has the 10th highest. Over one-quarter of children are growing up in poverty in all Tees local authority areas. Ward level data shows over 60% of children are in poverty in some areas of Teesside.
